De Boerderij, Zoetermeer, January 25th, 2015
Although in the middle of the winter, on January 25th, 2015, there was one place, where the temperatures came close to tropical hights. That place was the Podiumcafé at De Boerderij in Zoetermeer. On a sunday afternoon, Beyond God and A New Dawn took the stage to deliver two shows jam-packed with female fronted metal.
As with the show at WPC Nederland Drie, A New Dawn had selected songs from their entire career, with songs hailing from the Falling From Grace album, all the way through to new material, that is scheduled to be released later this year. It was nice to welcome our core group of enthousiasts, as well as people we had not seen in a while and everybody who came to see A New Dawn for the first time. We hope you all enjoyed the show and hope to see you again soon, at another show.
Slowly, but surely, we have started recording tracks for a new upcoming release. We will keep you all informed through our website and through other social media.
A New Dawn is back after what seemed a bit of a hibernation and, with the last couple of shows, has proven to still be a unique player in the metal scene.
With help of our new booker/manager Rick Langerack at Hammercat42, we look forward to the future and are confident that it's going to be great!
Picutres of the show at De Boerderij will be uploaded to the Gallery, shortly. Pictures below were taken (left to right) by Erwin van Dijk, Suzan, John Richard. Thanks for making the pictures. They are awesome! As are you!
On January 10th, we played a very special show at WPC Nederland Drie in Wateringen. The show was a benefit show for Rob Slors, who is a huge help for and supporter of the music scene in the The Hague area. A New Dawn performed with Rebelstar and Rocksville. The setlist consisted of songs that represented the entire career of the band, from the debut album "Falling From Grace" until the yet-to-be-released song "The Tell Tale Heart".
This show, the band had a few very special surprises up its sleave. For Final Verdict, former grunter Mike van den Heuvel stepped up to perform with the band for the first time in 1.5 years. It was great playing again with Mike. The second surprise was a guest performance by original singer Sanne Kluiters during Ascension. Sanne left the band over 5 years ago and sharing the stage again was awesome.
The band wants to thank both Mike and Sanne for making this show a very special one. Pictures can be found in the Gallery. Photography by John Richard. Video material will surface soon!
A day before the show in Wateringen, A New Dawn performed at the WOS-radio show "Stage" by Kees Visser. A New Dawn played two sets. Also two interviews were broadcasted. The show was a perfect warm-up for the WPC Nederland Drie show, the day after.
Next up is a show at De Boerderij in Zoetermeer. The show will be held on Sunday, January 25th. Doors will open at 14:00. Showtime is at 14:30.
At the very last minute we can confirm that we're doing a show on Saturday at the Musicon (The Hague). Unfortunately the band "Face Meets Concrete" had to cancel and "A New Dawn" was asked to step in. As we like to be on stage for our fans, we said "yes". What else could we do :)

Last Friday, July 4th, 2014, A New Dawn hit the stage again, after a period of absence. During a 45 minute set, the band once again showed what they were made of. Songs from the entire A New Dawn-catalogue were played, ranging from the first album "Falling From Grace" (2008), to a yet-to-be-released new track "The Tell-Tale Heart". We are looking forward to new shows that are now being scheduled for this year and 2015. It's gonna be great! Pictures of the show at HPC can be found in our gallery. Pictures are made by Dorothy Everwennink and Ron Baggerman.
